SNMC  6 Postions for summer job,please apply to info@snmc.ca with resume, cover letter, why snmc should hire you on or before Monday May 15, 2017: Working hours at snmc Sunday and Tuesday to Friday,1.30pm to 9.30pm, with flexibility for Ramadan. Working weeks 8 to 10 weeks from  Monday June 5 to  Friday 25 August 2017  Only Grade 11, grade 12 and university returnign students will be considered.


To be eligible for the Summer Student Employment Program, you must satisfy the following criteria:

  • be legally entitled to work in Canada;
  • be between 15-30 years of age
  • be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary program or institution of higher learning on a full-time basis and;
  • Must be returning to full-time studies in the next academic term


Number of weeks:12, Rate of pay $11.40/hr

Number of hours per WEEK: 37.5

Task and Responsibilities

Assist in carrying out existing youth events; plan next year’s youth events; identify opportunities for new events and fundraising activities to fund SNMC’s activities; gather information and resources to carry out the events; serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters. Manage event details such as coordination of volunteers, resources, and scheduling, assisting with space bookings, AV equipment set-up, event signs, and food and beverage orders. Assist with event set-up and wrap-up, annual summer events organized by SNMC.

2-Community Outreach Coordinator

Number of weeks : 12, Rate of pay $11.40/hr

Number of hours per WEEK:37.5

Task and Responsibilities

Contact existing donors to seek feedback and update contact information. Maintain donor records and database. Interact with donors in person and increase organizational visibility. Address donor concerns and questions. Develop and conduct the survey. Provide administrative support as needed. Most of SNMC donors/patrons are members of visible minorities.

3-Summer Sports Coordinator

Number of weeks:12, Rate of pay $11.40/hr

Number of hours per WEEK: 40

Task and Responsibilities

Coordinate and run various types of summer sports in the SNMC’s full-sized gym, recreational fitness room, and outdoor play area. Activities and tournaments such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, and badminton are planned for the summer and SNMC needs someone to coordinate and manage these events.

4-Funding Officer

Number of weeks: 10, Rate of Pay: $11.40/hr

Number of hours per WEEK: 35

Task and Responsibilities

Play the lead role in researching and developing a comprehensive understanding of the national, regional, and local sources of funding to support SNMC programs.  Take a lead responsibility for the preparation and submission of high-quality applications to grant-distributing bodies. Ensure that all monitoring reports required as a result of successful applications are completed and returned accurately and on time.

5-Web Developer

Number of weeks:10, Rate of pay: $11.40/hr

Number of hours per WEEK:35

Task and Responsibilities

Identifying SNMC website’s areas to improve and developing the website’s layout/user interface to support the latest web technologies, being responsible for maintaining, expanding and scaling the website to ensure a stable web environment, integrate data from donation database, improve and modify all the page coding.

6Youth Spiritual Counsellor

Number of weeks requested: 16

Number of hours per WEEK: 40

Task and Responsibilities

Youth Spiritual Counsellor (aka Student Chaplin) will be responsible for conducting research related to youth and religion, help youth appreciate Canadian citizenship through lenses of religion, develop programs which support interest and needs of youth to establish identity, work closely with SNMC’s religious
