38th HCI Annual Dinner: Celebrating Humanity, Mahmuda Khan, HCI Funding Officer
Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others – Cicero
Making a positive change in the world is a goal worth striving for. Human Concern International has focused on serving humanity and reducing poverty & hunger for the last thirty-eight years. Celebrating HCI’s achievements at an evening dinner, recognition will also be given to the tireless efforts by the unsung heroes of the community who inspire others and achieve great changes.
Canadian women have made massive forward strides in society, helping uplift people in need, raising awareness of important issues and creating solutions. The event will acknowledge their endeavours and celebrate their work with acclaim and awards of merit.
HCI is a major force in making a positive difference in the lives of others, but no change can occur on a global level without the support of all the on-site partners, staff and, of course, the army of generous donors. HCI is extremely grateful to and owes its position on the world stage to a community that envisions an optimistic future.
The 38th HCI Annual Dinner will be hosted by guest speakers Dr Reda Bedeir & Dr Alaa Murabit – speaking on the theme of communal altruism and rehabilitation of abuse victims. With delectable refreshments, inspiring company and a goal to improve the lives of others – the evening will be a memorable celebration of humanity working together to bring change in the world.
The HCI Annual Dinner with be held on Friday Sept. 21, 2018 at 7PM. Located at: St Elias Centre Conference & Banquet Facility, 750 Ridgewood Ave, Ottawa, ON K1V 6N1
