Applicants must be full-time students must be within the legal age to work in
Canada and must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Grade 12
Students and returning university students will be considered.
Any applicant who has volunteered for CBET will be in an advantageous position.
The position is remote and requires access to a personal laptop. Working hours
are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (35 hours per week), with some
flexibility if needed. The duration of the job is 8 weeks, and the pay rate is
$17.60 per hour in accordance with government regulations.
All four positions require strong skills in website development, social media,
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Candidates must have excellent
communication skills and be comfortable contacting CBET donors and event
participants via email, phone, or text. Applicants should be self-starters, detail-
oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the Summer Student Employment Program, you must satisfy
the following criteria:
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada, Canadian Citizen, permanent
resident, or conferred refugee protection. - Be between 15-30 years of age.
- Be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary program or institution of higher learning on a full-time basis.
- Must be returning to full-time studies in the next academic term.
1. Fundraising Campaign Organizer
Responsibilities: Investigate and seek new funds and grants to meet CBET objectives and events and community services to move CBET to next stage.
Who can apply: Students from social science/business/engineering with knowledge of non-profit organizations.
2. Communication Service Coordinator
Responsibilities: Plan for every month CBET events to connect with CBET community, donors, event participants and develop new strategy for CBET to move to next stage of CBET services and CBET scholarship program.
Who can apply: Students from social science/business/engineering with knowledge of non-profit organization, sports, and events management.
3. Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities: Work with CBET management for CBET day to day operations. Connect with CBET community, donors, event participants and develop new strategy for CBET to move to next stage of community services and scholarship program.
4. Social Media Specialist
Enhance and review CBET Social media pages such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Canadahelp.org web page, website, Newsletter site. Setup online fundraising campaigns via different online media. Connect CBET through as many social media pages possible. Setup documentation for future online fundraising campaigns.
