Death and Purpose, Dr Emdad Khan
Allah SWT says in Surah Al-Mulk,
67:2
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَٱلْحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًۭا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٢
˹He is the One˺ Who created death and life in order to test which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving.

Once we are born, we are given a life of 50 or 60 or 70 or 80 years.
But many of us have even shorter spans of time.
Every day we are busy doing work and activities.
But let us ponder, He has sent us to test us who is best in doing good deeds which will please Him.
He is the Almighty and He will forgive us if we make mistakes.
Every day as we finish one day, we are getting one day closer to leaving this Dunya.
We have two angels recording our deeds good or not good., which may or may not please Him.
We may have good intentions, we can use our time for some charity works, help orphans and needy,
volunteer for the community and teach some children and write to our elected representatives and join some useful support for the community.
Time will go, so let us work, so we benefit ourselves here and hereafter.
