Sincere Repentance, Dr Emdad Khan
Sincere repentance, changes evil deeds to good deeds.
Surah Al-Furqan, verse 70, Allah swt declares:
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًۭا صَـٰلِحًۭا فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ حَسَنَـٰتٍۢ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا ٧٠
As for those who repent, believe, and do good deeds, they are the ones whose evil deeds Allah will change into good deeds. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

In the next verse, He SWT again assures, 25:71:
وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًۭا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًۭا ٧١
And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah properly.

Allah SWT clearly explains when a person sincerely seeks forgiveness Allah SWT changes his evil deeds to good deeds.
In Ayat 71 He confirmed after that the person was sincere, he returned to Allah SWT.
May Allah SWT give us capacity to sincerely return to Him and we are return never go backwards. Ameen.
