Seeking Sincere Forgiveness, Dr Emdad Khan

Ramadan is knocking on the door, let us seek His forgiveness and forgive everyone even those who hurt us.

We start Ramadan with a clean slate.

In Surah Tahreem Verse 8, Allah swt says,

66:8

O believers! Turn to Allah in sincere repentance,

so your Lord may absolve you of your sins and

admit you into Gardens, under which rivers flow,

on the Day Allah will not disgrace the Prophet or the believers with him.

Their light will shine ahead of them and on their right.

They will say, “Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and forgive us.

˹For˺ You are truly Most Capable of everything.”

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran

Scholars say if we sincerely seek forgiveness and forgive everyone, we will have our sins wiped out and be made to enter Jannah.

Here it is implied by scholars, we will cross the bridge with a shining light in front of us and our deed books will be in our right hand.

So let us seek sincere forgiveness and forgive everyone before Ramadan.
