What we sent for tomorrow, Dr Emdad Khan

Let us think of our tomorrow.

In Surah Al Hashr, Allah swt declares,

59:18

O believers! Be mindful of Allah

and let every soul look to what ˹deeds˺ it has sent forth for tomorrow.

And fear Allah,

˹for˺ certainly Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Here in one verse Allah swt reminded us twice to be mindful or fear Him.

He is reminding us to look at ourselves and ponder what we are sending for ourselves for the life hereafter.

Allah swt is all aware of what we do. We have two angels recording everything we do in our day today life.

So, while taking care of our jobs, family, we need to do something beneficial for our parents, neighbors and community.

And seek forgiveness to Allah for our mistakes.

Goal is when we depart to meet Allah swt, He is satisfied with us, and we are satisfied with Him.

That is the purpose, we have been sent here for a short life span of 50, 60, 70 or 80 years.

We do actions for this life and they are beneficial for this life and life here after. Ameen.
